Kiler Grove Vineyard
In 2016 the yields returned and we harvested a bountiful crop of delicious Ugni Blanc. This was a welcome development as we harvested a measly .83 tons/acre in 2015 and this wine has developed a cult following amongst the locals here in Paso Robles. Typical of this varietal, the wine has tons of mineral tension, taut acidity and lots of refreshing citrus notes.
Picked on September 10th at 22.8 brix, the fruit was whole cluster pressed to tank, chilled to 45 degrees Fahrenheit and racked into stainless Muellers . All barrel fermented with Champagne yeast, the Ugni Blanc was aged in 100% stainless steel barrels and will be released in Spring 2016.
